It is a buffet style with a full order open view kitchen where you can get a steak (I had a prime rib which is hard to find in Germany) and your choice of sides and it is cooked right in front of you and at a reasonable price. This Kaufhof is 5 stories tall and on the 4th floor is the biggest and best restaurant I found at inexpensive prices of my 2 days in that city. In Cologne there are thousands of restaurants everywhere but they are not cheap to eat at especially if you are a family of say 4. You can get anything from inexpensive to outrageous here but I want to review is the best surprise I found there. There is a Kaufhof in just about every city in Germany. If you are shopping for cloths for everyone in your family at affordable prices then this is the place to go.
